Welcome to Art to Appreciate, the online home of fine artist Stefanie Snapp. By browsing this site and placing an order, you agree to the terms below. I've kept them as plain-spoken as I can.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. I may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always live on this page.
2. Artwork & copyright
All artwork, images, descriptions, and content on this site are © Stefanie Snapp and are protected by copyright. Purchasing a painting, print, or commission gives you ownership of that physical piece, but not the reproduction rights. Artwork and images may not be copied, reproduced, resold, or used commercially without my written permission. I retain the right to reproduce my work as prints and to display it for promotional purposes.
3. Product & color accuracy
I do my best to represent every piece truthfully, but please remember that screens vary. Colors, textures, and scale may appear slightly different in person depending on your device and lighting. These natural variations are part of the charm of handmade, original art and aren't considered defects.
4. Pricing & availability
Prices, availability, and product details are subject to change without notice. Because originals are one of a kind, an item may sell while you're browsing. If something becomes unavailable after you order, I'll contact you promptly to arrange an alternative or a full refund.
5. Orders & payment
Orders are confirmed once payment is received in full through our secure checkout. I reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example, in the event of a pricing error or suspected fraud — and to issue a refund in such cases. You're responsible for providing accurate shipping and contact information.
6. Commissions
Custom commissions are governed by these additional terms:
- A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place in my schedule and to cover materials.
- Commissions move through agreed approval stages, with progress updates along the way. The final balance is due once you've approved the completed piece, before it ships.
- Because each commission is made specifically for you, finished commissioned work is final sale and not eligible for return.
- Any reference photos you provide must be ones you have the right to use. You're welcome to display and enjoy your commissioned piece; copyright in the artwork itself remains with me.
7. Shipping & returns
Shipping, delivery, and return policies are described in detail on the Shipping & Returns page and form part of these terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Art to Appreciate name, logo, site design, and all original content are the intellectual property of Stefanie Snapp and may not be used without permission. Nothing on this site grants you a license to any trademark or copyrighted material.
9. Limitation of liability
This website and its contents are provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stefanie Snapp is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the site or from the purchase or use of any product. My total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the item in question.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts of New Jersey.
